Shortened on race day from 133 km to 89 km after security forces were redeployed to the wildfires near Bordeaux — the run-in from Thoiry was cut and the stage now starts on the Champs-Élysées itself: seven laps of the traditional circuit, then the three planned ascents of the Côte de la Butte Montmartre, all retained, before the finish on the Champs-Élysées.
